A message from the Chair of Christmas in the Valley RI (CITV):
On behalf of our exhibitors, I am delighted to welcome you to Christmas in the Valley, now in its 33rd year.
CITV is a curated holiday shopping experience bringing together 16 talented artisans in an intimate welcoming atmosphere. With our strict no-duplicate policy, you are guaranteed to find truly one-of-a-kind creations.
I have served as chair of this annual event for close to 15 years. And my husband Charlie and I have been exhibitors for nearly 30 years (we’re Thyme Farm).
Come to the show. Be inspired by the work of our incredible artisans. It’s a wonderful place to find the perfect gift for everyone on your list. I shop every year at CITV!

The History of Christmas In The Valley
How it began: Rachel Badeau, Laura Laramie and Cindy Mellor Neale, three very talented artisans from Foster, rotated hosting a mini Christmas in the Valley in their homes to sell their creations. They quickly outgrew their space.
What came next: Kirk Badeau suggested moving the event to the Moosup Valley Fire Station for additional space and more exhibitors. He handled the organization and selection of exhibitors (and invited Thyme Farm to be an exhibitor). That space was also outgrown after a few years. Kirk moved the show to the Foster Country Club where it has been for the past 28 years.
Where we are now: When Kirk decided to step away from CITV, a local non-profit briefly ran it. Several returning exhibitors then asked if I would serve as chair. Two friends from town were able to assist my husband Charlie and me for several years. Charlie and I continue to source potential exhibitors from festivals and artisan shows in the region and run the show.
