Welcome to Sakonnet River Company, where our story begins with a friendly dare between two neighbors in Bristol, Rhode Island. Tasked with creating a tray that could hold both a beverage and appetizers in one hand, Bob Barrow and Charles Tansey drew inspiration from artist palettes seen in Tuscany. After two years of development and experimenting with materials, they crafted the perfect solution: the wine appetizer plate, made from solid Cherry, Mahogany, Maple, Oak, and Walnut. Today, our handcrafted dining accessories are designed to enhance your entertaining experience with elegance and functionality.
