Karen Jenson’s work blends tradition and textile artistry—she uses the ancient batik process (wax-resist dyeing) to create luminous, hand-dyed silk and cut velvet scarves that are each unique. Her pieces are more than fashion accessories—they’re wearable art, with the characteristic crackled lines and layered color effects that define batik, applied to luxurious materials like silk and velvet. The cut velvet scarves add a tactile depth, combining the richness of the pile with the fluid dye patterns of batik. Each scarf reflects a meditative, handcrafted process, intended to offer its wearer both elegance and a connection to traditional textile techniques.
